MY Matmate is ideal if you struggle to get your matting and layering perfect. This works by adding your topper to a larger piece of card and then trimming it down to the exact size of mat/layer that you want. You trace around with a pencil and the distance will be the same all the way round. The soft embossing feature is proving very popular too.

MY MatMate is a lightweight tool that enables crafters to produce a professional finish to matting and layering projects, providing the opportunity to create decorative edges that can also be embossed.

MY MatMate is A4 size pliable opaque plastic with 4 slots of different designs. It has printed lines for measuring distances from the slots in order to mark out the mat size you require - it really is simple to use. The slots can also double up for embossing, soft embossing and paper tearing.

To soft emboss just slide the card through the slot... and emboss using a ball tool - see pic above
