Daphne Brissonet Poppies

Materials

8 x 8” blank card
Cream hammered card
Cream smooth card
Red card
Black card
Tonic studios flora frames topper die set – code number 171E
Embossing folder of your choice

Daphne Brissonet cardmaking pad
JNM Digistamps CD

Foam pads
Double sided tape
Pinflair Glue gel

 

Step One

Print out two backing papers from the JNM digistamp CD and cut out two squares approx 7.8” (19.5cm)

Cut all elements of the Poppies sheet from the cardmaking pad.

 

Step Two

Cut cream hammered card to 8” (20.3cm) square, add one of the backing paper squares (leaving a small border) and using double sided tape, attach to your card in tent fold position.

 

Step Three

Cut a piece of red card measuring 7.5” x 62 (18.5cm x 15.3cm), then cut a piece of cream card approx 4cm all round, smaller. Run the cream card through a die cutting machine with your choice of embossing folder and stick to the red card with double sided tape. Attach this to the left hand side of your card with foam pads.

 

Step Four

Using the Tonic studios flora frames topper die, run this through your machine twice using black card. Attach double sided tape to the FRONT of the die cut.

 

Step Five

Laying the die lengthways slide in the poppy image as shown and stick down. Do this for the opposite corner.

 

Step Six

You will end up with something like this.

 

Step Seven

Attach the image to your card with Pinflair glue gel. Cut out the greeting and mount this onto cream then black card, leaving a small border. Attach this sideways to the top right of your card. Build up the poppies with the decoupage pieces.

 

Step Eight

Open up the tent fold card and using double sided tape, attach the second square of backing paper. Mount the smaller image onto cream and black card and attach this to the inside bottom right. Decoupage this image if wished.
