Step One

This project main focus is the otter image from the Jody Bergsma cardmaking pad.

Make an 18 ½ cm square card blank from a cream card or use an 8” square card blank.  Select the otter sheet from the paper pad.

Step Two

Cut around each image from the sheet before cutting out the otter design using a pair of decoupage snips.

Step Three

Curve the edges of the otter piece using the closed blades of the decoupage snips as this will give added dimension.

Step Four

Add some Pinflair glue gel on the reverse of the cut piece. Then add this to the otter topper that has been matted onto a piece of white card.

Step Five

Cut a square of House Mouse shell backing paper which measures 18.5cm square and mat this onto a sand / gold colour card measuring 19.1cm.

Step Six

Cut a small piece of the decorative fish net about 9cm in depth.

Step Seven

Hook the fish net over the top corner of the backing paper panel and use some sellotape to stick the ends on the back of the panel. Now secure the other end a bit further down the opposite side of the card. Use foam tape on the reverse and beside any bulky net.

Step Eight

Add the backing paper / net piece onto the card blank before adding the topper over the fish net. Now add the sentiment on the top left hand corner of the topper. Finish the card with some decorative shells glued on with some Pinflair gel glue.
