1 sheet A4 Stardream card - I used Citrine.
2 sheets of 160gsm thin card for Insert and Backing Paper.
House-Mouse Inserts CD Rom - Volume One.
House-Mouse stamp plate - Birthdays, Poppy JSHM003.
Memento Tuxedo Black Stamp-pad.
0.75 metre red organza ribbon.
0.75 metre grey organza ribbon.
Sticky stuff - I used double sided tape and foam pads.
Martha Stewart border punch. Please check that the punch is suitable for the card you are using.
Cut a piece of Stardream card 14.9cms x 29.7cms. Landscape orientation; score the card in half vertically.
Mark two 3cms point as shown in the diagram. Join the two points and cut away the diagonal line.
Optional - Use a border punch to punch a design on the diagonal cut line.
Using 160gms card, print out an A4 backing paper and insert. Add your sentiments before printing. How to, is explained on the CD. Trim the insert to fit inside the card. If you are adding a sentiment, you will need to position it lower down the insert, and trim away from the top so you retain the mouse and poppy.
Stamp your mouse image. I prefer to do a test colouring (see photo) first before stamping and colouring the card.
I used the following colours:-
Mouse - Body: - Caramel, Tan.
Features: - Satin, Blush, Pale Pink.
Leaves: - Marsh Green, Moss, Olive, Lime Zest.
Flowers: - Poppy, Red, Soft Peach, Apricot, Antique Pink, Black.
Using Memento Tuxedo Black stamp-pad, stamp and colour the image on the front of the card.
Cut a piece of backing paper the same size as the insert (when folded). Stick it to the front (outside) of the insert.
Fix the insert to the inside of the card (back section). Add a sentiment so it will be visible when the card is close. Decorate with a small mouse stamp and add a ribbon to the card.
