JS Signature Die – Lace Edger 2 SD010.

JS Signature Die – Build A Flower SD078

JS Signature Die – Ivy Corner SD066
.

Step One

Using the JS Janet Kruskamp CD and JS Gentle Gloss photo paper, print out the mannequin bookmark.  The CD is interactive and you can personalise your greeting on the bookmark.  “How to” is explained on the CD.

Sandwich the back and front of the bookmark between a piece of black card allowing a 1mm border.

Attach a piece of ribbon to the top of the bookmark.

Using JS Elegance Satin 300gsm card, print out a coordinating backing paper.  There are three to choose from in the “Shops and Shopping” toppers section on the CD.

If your printer will not print on card decorate the card to suit after you have cut out the lace edger front.

Step Two

Landscape orientation, using the Elegance Satin card cut a piece of card 19.5cms x 14cms for the card front.

For the card back/stand cut a piece of card 10cms x 16cms and score horizontally 2cms from the top edge as shown.

Save the off-cuts.

Step Three

Please cut out the Lacer Edger front for the card in the order shown.

Place the lace edger die face down lining it up with the 14cms wide top edge of the card.  The die must be centred along the edge and will overhang by approximately 0.5cms at each side, as shown.

Step Four

Line up the die with the side edge of the card.  The side edge of the die should be just level with the line of stitching dots as shown by the arrow.

Repeat this at the opposite side edge.

Step Five

Cut the remaining side, lining the die up with the top edge of the card front.

Neaten the four corners by trimming out the waste and shaping, as shown.

Step Six

Fix the card stand/back to the reverse of the card front, making sure it does not cover the lacy edge at the top and sides of the card.  It does partly cover the lacy edge at the bottom of the card.

Step Seven

Using the Signature Die Ivy Corner SD066 cut four ivy sprays.  Pair them up and join together by gluing with Cosmic Shimmer glue to create two reinforced sprays.  You will get a better fix if you join them wrong sides facing.

Using the “Signature Build a Flower SD078 flower centre” die, just cut four in black and four from the leftover card to make the daisies.

Step Eight

Attach the ivy die cuts to the alternate corners of the card front, leaving the centre part unglued and allowing ease to locate the bookmark.  Check the bookmark fits before gluing.

Step Nine

Assemble the daisy flowers and attach to the front of the card.

This card will fit in a C5 envelope.
