Materials

2 A4 Sheets JS Elegance Satin 300gsm Card.
1 A4 Sheet JS Elegance Satin 160gsm Paper.
Gold fine line peel-offs.
Sticky Stuff – I used Red liner tape, double sided tape, Pinflair glue gel and Aleenes tacky glue.
JS If Flowers Could Talk CD.

Materials for the Flowers
Off-cuts of coloured paper approx. 120gsm.
Memory Box Fringe Border Die.
Punch Bunch Mega Fern Punch.
Punch Bunch Cedar Sprig Punch

Step One

Using 160gsm JS Elegance Satin paper, print out a pair of toppers from the CD. Choose the option of printing the toppers in portrait orientation and they should be the correct size for the card. The toppers should measure 9.5cms x 14cms.

It explains on the CD how to use the interactive facility to delete a verse and personalize the blank topper with a greeting. If you are adding flowers to one of the toppers, leave the topper blank.

Step Two

Landscape orientation; fold a sheet of A4 JS Elegance 300gsm card in half vertically to create an A5 tent fold card.

Cut a piece of JS Elegance 300gsm card 14.8cms x 29cms and measure, mark and score as shown. Crease the red and blue score lines.

Fix three lengths of fine line peel-offs down the centre of the card, using the turquoise score lines as a guide.

Step Three

Apply red liner tape to the reverse of the card as shown.

Step Four

Attach the toppers to the front of the card.

Step Five

Attach the Open Book to the front of the tent fold card.

Step Six

Using the Memory Box Fringe Die cut three lengths of fringe for each flower (A)

Cut the black fringe in half and trim the depth. Cut away ¼ of the mustard fringe and trim the depth. (B)

Join the three lengths of fringe together as shown. (C).

Using a quilling tool curl the fringing. If you don’t have a quilling tool you can use a fine embossing tool (see inset photo). When curling the fringe the right side of the flower should be on the inside of the curl, so that when the flower is opened out the right side is on top.

Secure the curled flower using Aleenes tacky glue and when dry open out the flower.

Step Seven

Make three flowers, punch out some foliage and arrange on the front of the card.

This card will fit in a C5 envelope.
