Materials

1 A4 Sheet Stardream Card – I used Aquamarine.~
1 A4 Sheet Photo Paper.
1 A4 Sheet 160gsm Elegance Satin Paper.
1 A4 Sheet Gold Mirri Card.

Sticky Stuff – I used, Double Sided tape, Red Liner Tape and Pinflair Glue Gel.

JS Hollypond Hill Double CD Set. – I used an image from CD1 and a sentiment from CD2.

Optional – Spellbinders Nestabilities Marvellous Squares Die Set or similar.

Step One

From CD1 print out a second largest image using JS gentle gloss photo paper. You may have to re-size the image which should measure approx. 3” x 3”. Using JS mirri card, mount onto one of the Dies from the Spellbinders Marvelous Squares. Alternatively mount onto a piece of mirri card sized to fit onto the centre diamond.

Print out a coordinating sentiment from CD2. The sentiment should measure approx. 1” x 3”. Mount onto gold mirri card.

It explains on the CD how to capture a single image and import it into a word processing or graphics programme for printing. It also explains how to personalise the interactive sentiments. The image and sentiment will fit on the same sheet of photo paper.

Using the JS 160gsm Elegance Satin Paper, print out the matching backing paper.

For the base mat, cut a piece of backing paper measuring 7 ½" x 2 ½". Mount onto a piece of JS mirri card 7 ¾" x 2 ¾".

Using the backing paper, cut out two decorative shapes to fit the small diamonds. I used the Marvelous Squares, and also cut out some of the small building blocks from the backing paper to use as decoupage.

Step Two

You may find it easier to create a template using a sheet of thin card first, as there are a few stages to creating the shape for the card. I have used a different illustration for each stage.

Cut a piece of card 8” x 10”. Landscape orientation, measure and lightly mark out the measurements as shown. If you are not making template, do not draw in the lines.

Step Three

Score the blue lines – do not fold yet.

Cut the green lines.

Step Four

Mark out the measurements for the centre diamond as illustrated.

Score the red lines – do not fold yet.

Cut the diagonal green lines and remove the green shaded areas. The horizontal green lines have already been cut.

Step Five

Mark out the measurements for the two side diamonds as illustrated.

Score the red lines – do not fold yet.

Cut the diagonal green lines and remove the green shaded areas. The horizontal green lines have already been cut.

Step Six

The illustration shows the card when the shape has been cut out. The green line has already been cut. Mountain fold the red lines and valley fold the blue lines, to create one large and two small diamonds.

Step Seven

Fix the base mat to the base of the card as shown.

Apply red line tape to the underside of the diamonds – shown in pink, and attach to the base of the card.

Step Eight

Attach the topper to the large diamond and decorate the small diamonds.

Add the sentiment to the base. I used Pinflair Glue gel and tilted the sentiment to add dimension.

This card will fold down and fit in a C5 envelope.
