Valentine's Card and Matching One-Piece Box by Sheila Weaver

Materials

1 A4 Sheet Red Card.
1 A4 Sheet JS Gold Mirri Card and off-cut of Red Mirri Card.
1 A4 Sheet JS Elegance Satin 160gsm Paper.
1 A4 Sheet JS Gentle Gloss Photo Paper.
Approx 1mtr 10mm Edged Organza Red Ribbon.

Sticky Stuff – I used Double Sided Tape, Foam Pads and Collall All Purpose Glue.

JS “The Gruffies and Happy Hopper” CD.
JS Leafy Twist SD045 Signature Die.
JS Table Confetti – Hearts SD079 Signature Die.

Chocolates or similar for filling gift box.

 

Step One

Using JS Gentle Gloss Photo paper, print out the Valentine Topper sheet from the Happy Hopper images on the Gruffies and Happy Hopper CD.

Using some JS 160gsm Elegance Satin Paper, print out the matching backing paper.

 

Step Two

Cut out the largest topper and mount onto JS gold mirri card. The mounted topper should measure approximately 14cms x 10cms

Mount the two sentiments onto gold mirri card leaving a narrow border.

Using Gold Mirri card and Leafy Twist die, cut one embellishment.

Cut small table confetti hearts in red and gold mirri card.

 

Step Three

Score a sheet of A4 card in half to create an A5 tent fold card.

Assemble all the elements on the front of the card, add an insert, and place the remaining confetti inside the card.

This card will fit in a C5 envelope.

 

Step Four

Using the backing paper landscape orientation, wrong side facing, measure mark and score as shown.

Do not fold the score lines yet.

 

Step Five

Cut the green lines as shown.

Cut away the triangular slivers (shown in light green) on sections A, C. E and G plus the slivers on the small tabs on the lid.

Cut away the shaded green areas.

 

Step Six

Using double sided tape, anchor the ribbon to the lid and attach a sentiment to the top of the lid offsetting it to the left.

 

Step Seven

Fold all the score lines.

With wrong side facing apply glue to the inside of section B, fold section A inside section B and stick together.

Apply glue to the inside of section D, fold section C inside section D and stick together.

Apply glue to inside of section C, fold section E inside section C and stick together.

Apply glue to the inside of section F, fold section G inside section F and stick together.

Fold in the small tabs at the front of the box, apply glue and fix to form the lid.

 

Step Eight

Fill the box with chocolates and tie a bow to secure.
