This project makes two cards.
Materials
2 x Sheets of A4 cardstock.
2 x Sheets of JS Gentle Gloss photo paper for toppers.
JS Messy Rabbit CD 1. I used an image from the bonus section.
Sticky stuff I used Collall photo glue, silicon glue, foam pads and double sided tape.
Piercing tool and cutting tools.
Additional Materials for Pyramage Card
One square of red Mirri-silk cardstock, size 103mm x 103mm.
Gold paper for mounting Pyramage.
1x Sheet 160gsm thin card or similar for background mat.
Heart stamp from Messy Rabbit Rabbit Couple.
Detail Gold embossing powder.
Versamark pad.
Additional Materials for Invertage Card
Gold card for mounting Invertage.
Length of JS 7mm red ribbon.
Set One
Print out eight same size images. I chose the middle sized topper of the LOVE image from the bonus section of CD1. It explains on the CD how to capture a single image; you can then import it into a graphics or word processing programme. By adjusting the margins and using landscape orientation, I was able to print four images on each sheet of JS Gentle Gloss photo paper. Cut out the eight images.
Using a spare piece of 160gms thin card cut a template exactly the same size as one of the images. Starting at the corner of the template and working along both sides, mark five points in 5mm increments. I use the piercing tool. (See top image A).
Rule two horizontal and vertical lines from the 25mm points so they cross, as shown by the dotted line. Using the 5mm marking points draw a grid inside the corner squares of the red dotted lines (See bottom image B).
Step Two
Mark the diagonal intersection points of the grid using different colour pens (you should have five diagonal dots on each grid). (See top image A).
Place an image face down and line up the grid on top of the image. Using the piercing tool, make a small puncture mark in each of the outer dots at the four corners (these should all be the same colour). Remove the template and join the four dots to create a border frame round the edge of the image, as shown by the red dotted line. (See bottom image B).
Using a craft knife carefully cut round the dotted line. The frame will form part of the Invertage and the centre section will form part of the Pyramage.
Step Three
Repeat with four more of the images, moving the piercing tool diagonally one point inwards on each image. (See picture). Save your template for future use.
Step Four
Cut out the centre (Pyramage) (See bottom image B) leaving the frame (Invertage) (See top image A) for each image. You should have one whole (base image) and five part images for each design. You will have one spare image for use later.
Pyramage card
Mount the base image on a piece of gold paper, leaving a small border of approx 2mm around the image. Using either silicon glue or foam pads assemble the Pyramage layers on top of each other, lining up the design, with smallest layer on top. (See top image).
Using 160gms thin card print out your backing sheet. I chose a matching image from the Bonus section of the CD; Cut to measure approx 148mm x 115mm (may vary slightly depending on image used).
Cut a square of JS red mirri-silk card 103mm x 103mm (sorry about the flare from the flash).
Turn the mirri card diagonally and centre it on the backing sheet. Using the piercing tool mark a point on the backing sheet approximately 5mm from the top and the bottom at either side of the mirri card. Using a craft knife cut a slit in the backing sheet between these points. Slot in the top and bottom corners of the mirri card and secure to the backing sheet with Collall glue. (See bottom image).
Pyramage card - Finished
Fold a sheet of A4 cardstock portrait orientation. Fix the backing sheet/mirri card to the card. Centre the Pyramage topper on top of the backing sheet. Add an extra rabbit from the spare topper.
Using the heart stamp from the Rabbit Couple set and a Versamark stamp pad, stamp four sets of hearts, cover with Detail Gold embossing powder and emboss. (See image).
Invertage Card - Step One
Fold an A4 sheet of cardstock, landscape orientation. If using an insert, add now.
Mount the base image on a piece of gold card, leaving a small border of approx 2mm around the image.
Using either silicon glue or foam pads assemble the Invertage layers on top of the base image, starting with the layer with the smallest aperture. The top layer will be a narrow frame. (See image).
Invertage Card - Step Two
Cut a small V in the front spine of the card. (See image). Lay a length of ribbon across the front of the card take it to the inside and bring both ends through the V to the front of the card.
