1 A4 Sheet JS Stardream Card - I used Opal.
Off cut of Stardream Card approx. A5 size.
1 A4 Sheet JS Elegance Satin Paper 160gsm.
1 A4 Sheet JS Gentle Gloss Photo Paper.

Sticky Stuff- I used Double Sided Tape, Foam Pads, Quickie Glue Pen and Collall Glue.

JS Victorian Christmas Cards 3CD set.

Spellbinders Fancy Lattice Die.
Embellishment Die from Marianne Die Set LR0236.
Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad – I used Tea Dye.

Step One

Using JS Gentle Gloss Photo Paper print out the topper page from CD2 of JS Victorian Christmas Cards.

Using JS 160gsm Elegance Satin Paper, print out the matching backing paper.

Step Two

Using an A4 sheet of JS Stardream card, landscape orientation, measure, mark and score as shown. The purple star is the starting point for measuring the next stage.

Step Three

Using the score line between panels B and C (the purple star) measure and mark the four pop-outs.

The measurements for each pop-out extend 4.5cms either side of the score line and they are 4.5cms deep. Between each pop-out there is a 7mm strip of card. Above the top pop-out the strip measures 9mm.

Cut the horizontal lines (each horizontal measurement should be 4.5cms x 2 = 9cms).

Score the 4.5cms vertical lines (shown in blue) between the cut (green) lines.

Mountain fold the red lines and valley fold the blue lines, easing the pop-outs into shape

Step Four

The illustration shows the card when folded, and the pop-outs are creased.

Step Five

The illustration shows the reverse of the card after it has been folded.

Step Six

Cut two pieces of backing paper 4.5cms x 20cms and mount onto gold mirri card 5cms x 20.5cms. Fix to the panels either side of the pop-outs.

Optional – Using the backing paper decorate the right-hand side of the pop-outs. I used a Marianne die from set LR 0236. I cut five embellishments saving two for the front of the card.

Step Seven

Optional – Using the backing paper cut out the lattice die shape. Trim to fit the large topper, leaving a border round the edge of the lattice.

Cut a piece of JS Stardream card the same size as the topper.

Sandwich the lattice between the topper and the Stardream card and glue all three together.

Step Eight

Using the Tea Dye Distress Ink Pad, tint the edges of the card. I used a small piece of make-up sponge to apply the ink, working it in a circular motion from the splodge mat towards the edge of the card. It is easier to apply the ink if you use a splodge mat or similar.

Attach the topper to the front of the card, and add the embellishments.

Step Nine

Cut out the four roundels from the topper sheet and cut a piece of Stardream card the same size as each roundel. Attach the card to the back of the roundel.

Using foam pads fix a roundel to each pop-out.

This card will require a purpose made envelope if the topper overhangs the front panel.
