JS House Mouse Christmas CD and Project Book

Step One

Using 160gsm JS Elegance Satin Paper print out a set of decoupage and a co-ordinating backing sheet. I used the decoupage from Project 10 and a backing sheet from Project 16.

Step Two

Portrait orientation, score an A4 sheet of JS Elegance Satin Card 300gsm, at 3cms intervals to create seven panels.

Score the card in half horizontally. Do not fold.

The raised vertical score lines form the front/outside of the card.

Step Three

Using the centre Blue score line as a guide, measure mark and score as shown.

Score the Red lines first - do not fold.

Cut the Green lines.

Valley fold the centre Blue score line.

Ease and mountain fold the Red score lines.

Cut away the green shaded 1cm wide sections. This will divide the outer panel into two.

Valley fold the remaining 1cm section as shown.

Step Four

Illustration shows the blank card once the seven panels have been cut and folded.

Apply double sided tape as shown in pink and re-join sections A and B of the outer panels.

Step Five

Cut seven pieces of backing paper, mount on JS Gold mirri card and attach to the front panels.

Gold Mirri card:
cut 2 panels 6cms x 2.2cms
2 panels 8cms x 2.2cms
2 panels 10cms x 2.2cms
1 panel 12cms x 2.2cms

Backing paper:
cut 2 panels 5.5cms x 1.7cms
2 panels 7.5cms x 1.7cms
2 panels 9.5cms x 1.7cms
1 panel 11.5cms x 1.7cms

Step Six

Omitting the base image, (which can be used on another card) layer up and stick the decoupage to the front of the card.

Optional – use one of the decoupage layers as an accent on the back of the card.

Add a sentiment.

Step Seven

Optional – Attach one of the layers of decoupage to the back of the card.

This card will fold down and fit in a C5 envelope.
